[Training on her own, without so much as one Unversed to take out, isn't something Aqua's used to. There had always been Ven, Terra, or even Master Eraqus now and then, to go against when she felt the need to brush up on her skills--keep them sharp. But none of them are here and she doesn't want to bother anyone else, so she improvises.
She takes a deep breath, closes her eyes a moment to aid her concentration, and remembers one of her tougher battles.

When Aqua opens her eyes again, dropping into a fighting stance, she can still see an image of Vanitas in her mind's eye. Their fight in Neverland replays in memory and she goes through the motions against an invisible opponent, correcting the mistakes she made back then along the way.
Aqua's movements are agile and easy, not affected by the instability of the sand on the beach. And while she's not near as strong as Terra, it's easy to tell her keyblade swings have fairly decent power behind them.]

[This island really needs more angsting corners. Kind of just.. watching from a safe distance. Since the reason he came all this way was sort of sabotaged now, might as well. At least for a little while anyway]

[That's certainly one of the best distractions there could have been. She stops mid-swing, even, turning before finally lowering her arm. It's a relief it still seems under control, but that doesn't mean throwing caution to the wind is necessary, so she'll keep a bit of a distance if you don't mind.]

It's been a long time since it's tried to act on its own like that. [Not counting fishbitch interference In many ways it's way better than how Gig used to be, anyway orz]

[He had been sitting on the beach for a little while, having found it to be a nice place to just sit and think. He seemed to have taken his armor off - looking entirely human-like. Once he'd heard someone not too terribly far off, he decided to investigate. He didn't really say anything, just watched the motions of the other's blade in silent admiration.]

[It's not until she spins around, as if to block a sudden attack from behind, that she realizes someone else is present. She blinks, still holding a defensive posture for a couple moments more, before relaxing into a more casual pose.]

[She'll return that smile and let the keyblade disappear from her grasp now that she's not using it at the moment.]

There was some sort of virus going around... It was making people act--odd.

[She frowns a little, shaking her head.]

There's a queen here, named Thalassa, who likes to cause trouble. It turned out the virus was the work of one of her servants.
